  2. We had a lovely stay at La Porcherie and can thorougly recommend this quiet spot of French countryside. Thury Harcourt is a short drive away with swimming pool and skate park and nearby Sugar Loaf Mountain provides stunning views. It is a perfect base for canoeing walking and cycling or just chilling out with a glass of wine with hosts Peta and Jason.

  3. We stayed in this lovely little gite from the 10th to 17th Sep and enjoyed every minute of it.
Pita's sat nav directions were great and took us right to the door. Lots of small towns and villages within easy driving distance, perfect for showing off your limited knowledge of the French language. Our hosts were there when we needed them but allowed us the space to do our own thing when we didn't. Nice people, nice property, nice holiday.

  4. We had a week in August 2011 The Gite was as beautifull as it looked in the advert and was lovely on the inside too, with everything you need for a peacefull holiday retreat. The local ameanaties were only four miles away with several bakeries, two supermarkets and many other little shops. We were lucky to have plenty of sunshine (rain and showers too!) so we sat outside taking in the views and reading our books, the only noise was from the cows and local wildlife, the odd car driving up/down the lane.

Jason and Peta were perfect hosts, they are very busy people with two lovely children, but they were never too busy for us, with all their knowledge of the local and surrounding areas, an appropriate answer for every question asked.

We would like to thank them for a lovely time and have no problem recommending their gite to others, but, don't forget, if you go to the Normandy countryside, you will be in the countryside, with some of the most beautifull views in France.

  5. Stayed for 1 week in July 2011, a lovely base to explore the many delights that Normandy has to offer. Comfortable accommodation in a lovely setting, ideal for a relaxing break or you can get out and about and have a very active break. We had two children with us and they absolutely loved their holiday.

  6. We stayed at La Porcherie for 2 weeks in June 11 and found it to be a very comfortable and welcoming place, the cottage has everything you need and is in a very quiet area . The area in and around Thury Harcourt is beautiful with lots of out door activites to be found from canoeing to abseiling. The coast is around 40 minutes drive and the landing beaches less than an hour, the area is full of history and interesting for all age groups, the area has too much to offer to see in one holiday. The hospitality shown by Peta and Jason was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and they have a in-depth knowledge of the area. We will be visiting again in the future to enjoy more of Normandy.
